Obama White House goes SCREEEECCHH as they slam on the brakes

NASA head Charles Bolden told al-Jazeera (!) that he was charged by Barack Obama to "first and foremost reach out to the Muslim world."   Here's that shocker:



Now, though, the White House says Bolden "misspoke" when revealing that tidbit.  From the video above, you can see that Bolden hid his uncertainty very well.  In fact, his statement was pretty definitive.  It's interesting how the Obama administration is now backing away from the comments, after Liberal pundits went to the trouble of defending the remarks as "noncontroversial."


Funny how cockroaches scurry for cover when the lights come on.

Who Knew? (Answer: About half the country)

According to an ABC News report, Barack Obama is now emphasizing his Muslim roots: "During a conference call in preparation for President Obama's trip to Cairo, Egypt, where he will address the Muslim world, deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications Denis McDonough said "the President himself experienced Islam on three continents before he was able to -- or before he's been able to visit, really, the heart of the Islamic world -- you know, growing up in Indonesia, having a Muslim father -- obviously Muslim Americans (are) a key part of Illinois and Chicago."

Boy, we sure never heard anything like this from the Obama campaign before he was elected, did we? Wonder who Obama is trying to appeal to with these kinds of statements? Americans?

During the campaign, Obama was very sensitive about being associated with Muslims. From a 2008 campaign speech: "And that's what the Republicans when they say this isn't about issues, it's about personalities, what they're really saying is, 'We're going to try to scare people about Barack. So we're going to say that, you know, maybe he's got Muslim connections.'...Just making stuff up."

Well, apparently not.

Remember the good old days when primaries helped vet candidates? When the media actually took an interest in a candidate's past?

Are there any accusations or predictions that Conservatives made about Obama during the primaries that are not proving true?

Muslim connections? Check.
Socialist leanings? Check.
Campaign lies? Check, and Check.

How much damage can Obama and his Democrat Congress do between now and January, 2013? I'm afraid of the answer.

The Enemy Within

While there's a huge debate over illegal immigration, the biggest threats we face may not be from people crossing the border.

Not-yet-announced Republican Presidential Candidate Fred Thompson recently wrote an interesting column for Townhall.com. He revealed some alarming facts about CAIR -- the Council on American-Islamic Relations. (I've written about CAIR before.)

According to Thompson, who cited IRS data, "CAIR's dues-paying membership has shrunk 90 percent since 9/11 -- from 29,000 in 2000 to only 1,700 last year. CAIR's annual income from dues plunged from $733,000 to $59,000....

"Of course, every silver lining seems to have a cloud; and this cloud is that CAIR's spending is running about $3 million a year. They’ve opened 25 new chapters in major cities across the country even as their dues shrank to a pittance. The question is; who’s funding CAIR?"

Important note: Part of that $3 million is being spent to silence Americans who speak up about suspicious activity.
